DESCRIPTION:About CES\n\nAugustana Lutheran Church and Community Emergency
Service (CES) share a long history of service in Minneapolis. Over 50 year
s ago\, Augustana founded CES as one of the first downtown food shelves. T
oday\, CES operates as its own organization but remains closely tied to Au
gustana\, sharing space and a joint commitment to serving neighbors with d
ignity\, compassion\, and care.\n\nOne way this mission comes to life is t
hrough monthly Community Dinners\, which bring neighbors together for a fr
ee meal and fellowship. Our Rotary Club will be volunteering at the April
8th dinner&mdash\;one of the first to be hosted indoors again after a summ
er of cookouts!\n\nWebsite for more details on CES:https://cesmn.org/about
 -us/ \n\n\nWhat to Expect\n\nVolunteers help make the evening a warm\, wel
coming\, and smooth experience for our neighbors. Tasks include:\n\n\n	\n

tables\, stack chairs\, manage leftover food\, and take out garbage/recycl
ing.\n	\n\n\nWe need 6&ndash\;8 Rotarians present at all times between 4:4
 5 and 7:30 PM.\n\n\nVolunteer Notes\n\n\n	\n	Full participation is ideal\,

\n\nWhy This Matters\n\nThis is more than serving dinner. It&rsquo\;s abou
