Todd Milburn was appointed Chief of the Edina Police Department in 2021. A former Deputy Chief of the Brooklyn Park Police Department, Milburn came to Edina after 30 years in Brooklyn Park.

Officer Bennett Breyer is a K9 Officer assigned to the night shift at the Edina Police Department. He works alongside his K9 partner Koda, who he got in December of 2024. Details below.
LAST WEEK FOR COLLECTION. InvolveMN will be picking up donation THIS Thursday. We are doing a winter clothing drive in conjunction with the Edina Country Club with the final drop off at Noon, Thursday, November 20. At your convenience, bring your gently used or new coats, sweaters, sweatshirts, gloves/mittens, winter hats and blankets to ECC anytime. These items will be donated to Involve MN who feeds over 5,000 meals each week to the local area unsheltered using a special van to visit encampments and other areas where they gather. Involve MN is a Minnesota based non-profit collaborating with community, business and government to provide for the unsheltered and vulnerable people in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. Your friends and family are welcome to participate.

Wednesday, November 26, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm members of the Rotary Club of Edina and Edina Morningside Rotary Club, will prepare and deliver Thanksgiving meals to 80 local families in need. A roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberries, potatoes and gravy along with vegetables, oranges, even a delicious pie, make their way to area homes via active Rotarians and their families. With a side of warm knit mittens to help with the coming winter, these Thanksgiving Baskets bring some brightness and joy into the holiday season. Assembly and delivery times have been organized and are ready to go for those who registered. You are welcome to join us for a lunch of soup, salad and sandwiches. There are 6 Rotarian's signed up and we'd like a few more to join us for the "Giving Tuesday" event. The facility really appreciates our organizational help the frees up the staff up to do additional community out-reach. If you can spare only a couple hours, it would be greatly appreciated. Join your Rotarian friends at The Dakota on Sunday, December 14th at 7:00 p.m.
There may be a few seats in the dining area reserved for Rotarians to attend and sit together. Call the Dakota box office at 612-992-5299. Ask for Edina Rotary seating for the Peterson Family, Twas the Jam Before Christmas, Dec 14th show. The seats in the dining area do not provide the best view in the venue, but you can sit with fellow Rotarians. You are always welcome to purchase your own tickets and sit wherever you like.
KICK OFF IS NEXT WEEK. The Rotary Club of Edina will once again be collecting holiday gifts for local community families and youth in need. During these challenging times, there is a special urgency for help and support. Rotarians Jean Morrison and David Clynes are organizing the Holiday Giving Program with donations going to 66 West, Good in the Hood, and the Young Parent Program this holiday season. Gift suggestions below. Dec. 11 meeting will feature some Faribault Mill items to be auctioned during the meeting. Program details and gift suggestions will follow in the next few weeks.
