Cheri began her aviation journey at age 17, inspired by an Aerospace Science class. She completed her flight training during her senior year and earned her Private Pilot license before attending Minnesota State University, Mankato (MNSU) for an Aviation degree. After graduating, she served as a flight instructor and became Assistant Chief Flight Instructor. She flew for Great Lakes Aviation and corporate jets for North Star Aviation before joining Northwest Airlines (now Delta Air Lines), where she advanced to Captain of the Airbus A320 and took on roles such as Pilot Recruiter and Ambassador. This Month's speaker is Hollies Winston, the historic first Black mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, with its 86,000 residents and being the 6th largest city in Minnesota he brings a deep-rooted commitment to community and economic empowerment. This is a unique opportunity to get to know Mayor Winston and hear first-hand the challenges and program successes in governing this ever-evolving city. ASSEMBLY TABLE SET UP, BASKET COMPLETION CHECK, ASSISTANCE LOADING VEHICLES, AND TEAR DOWN HELP WILL BE WELCOMED. Wednesday, November 27, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm members of the Rotary Club of Edina and Edina Morningside Rotary Club, will prepare and deliver Thanksgiving meals to 85 local families in need. A roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberries, potatoes and gravy along with vegetables, oranges, even a delicious pie, make their way to area homes via active Rotarians and their families. With a side of warm knit mittens to help with the coming winter, these Thanksgiving Baskets bring some brightness and joy into the holiday season.

Guatemala 2025 is on! We are planning to return to Guatemala April 26-May 3, 2025. The Rotary Club of Edina invites you to join the 2025 International Service trip to Coban, Guatemala. The purpose of the trip is to deliver 654 life-saving water purifiers to remote villages in the mountains surrounding Coban, in partnership with Resurrection Priory Monastery, St Patrick’s Church of Edina, and the Rotary Club of Coban.
