In this trying time of uncertainty during the Covid-19 virus pandemic, we in Edina Rotary have an opportunity to do what we do best – reach out and serve. We’re better together.
Edina Rotary Helping Hands is an initiative aimed at supporting others by reaching out to check in, connect and assist with specific needs of our Edina Rotarians in need during this time of quarantine.
As fellow Rotarians, here’s what we can do to help:
Check-in call or email
Help with running errands, rides to appointments, and trip to Post Office
Pick up prescriptions, groceries, deliver take-out
Send a postal greeting card to say you're thinking about someone
Of course, we will do all of this in the safest and most responsible ways by following the Red Cross recommendations during this situation.
How this works …
Are you interested in helping?
Do you know of an Edina Rotarian who might benefit from this (either yourself or someone else?)
If you’d like to be a helping hand or need a helping hand contact Jean Morrison at 612-804-2409 or jean@jeanmorrisonhr.com
Thank you for lending your time, hands and heart to Edina Rotary Helping Hands.
It’s important to remember what makes us Rotarians: Service and connecting the world. Now is the time to come together and be there for one another.
In light of the risks posed by the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) epidemic, and in consideration of group event cancellations by the City of Edina and many other local organizations, we have cancelled all April meetings normally held at Edina Country Club. I want to thank my fellow officers including Secretary Joe Hayes, Treasurer Michael Stanzak, President-Elect Sam Thompson, and Past President John Flynn, along with Past President Jennifer Bennerotte, for their sage advice and good counsel.
