Month of April ECC Location Meetings Cancelled

Fellow Rotary Club of Edina Members:

In light of the risks posed by the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) epidemic, and in consideration of group event cancellations by the City of Edina and many other local organizations, we have cancelled all April meetings normally held at Edina Country Club.  All regular members will receive a statement credit of $90 for the missed meals on their Q4 invoice scheduled to go out by April 3. Please see "Important Rotary Club of Edina Meeting Information" as posted on our events page for complete details. Please join us via Facebook Live, on our webpage or You Tube.

I want to thank my fellow officers including Secretary Joe Hayes, Treasurer Michael Stanzak, President-Elect Sam Thompson, and Past President John Flynn, along with Past President Jennifer Bennerotte, for their sage advice and good counsel.

As this historical event continues to evolve, we will continue to monitor the situation and keep you updated about the plan for April meetings. For the moment, please take care of yourselves, and follow the best practices for preventing infections on the CDC website here:

Please feel free to call me anytime at 612-501-0252, or send an email to

In Review -- March 10, 2020 Meeting
Edina Morningside Rotary Club 2019-2020 President, Doug McElrath
What a beautiful day for a meeting.  As we entered ECC, we were greeted by the sound of a robin, either a real one, or one provided by ECC as part of the ambience of the club experience.  Also, greeting us were Margaret Johnson, Steve Slyce, and Paul MootyMary Younggren was at the desk helping Becci Michalski.  At precisely 7:36 AM, President. Doug McElrath started the meeting reminiscing about when, 30 years ago, the noon Rotary club (the largest in District 5950) helped get the morning club (now the 4th largest in said district) started.  Between the two clubs we have over 260 members!
