The Rotary Club of Edina and Rotary District 5950 invite applications for Rotary Peace Fellowships, an international 15-to-24-month scholarship program to earn a master’s degree in international studies and peace and conflict resolution. Rotary International will award up to 100 such scholarships for study at Rotary Peace Centers at leading universities in Japan, Argentina, England, Australia, Sweden, and the United States. Rotary’s goal is to provide educational opportunities to those who will promote knowledge and world understanding as future global leaders. The Centers will also advance research, teaching and publication and knowledge of issues of peace, goodwill and causes of conflict.

A second program, a three-month professional development certificate course, is available in Thailand.

Applicants must have earned an undergraduate degree, have 3-5 years of work or volunteer experience and a demonstrated commitment to peace and service, and be proficient in a second language if appropriate. Funding includes transportation, room and board, tuition, fees, and a stipend. For more information and to complete the application, visit www.rotary.org and click on “Students and Youth” or contact Dr. Ellen Kennedy at 952-693-5206, kennedy@worldwithoutgenocide.org
