Tom Horner has a four-decade career in public policy, public relations, politics and community service. He served as chief of staff to former U.S. Sen. Dave Durenberger, created one of Minnesota’s most influential public affairs firms, Himle (HIM-lee) Horner, and was the 2010 Independence Party candidate for governor of Minnesota. Today, Horner is a principal in the consulting firm Horner Strategies, an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas, a contributing columnist to the Minneapolis Star Tribune and a frequent speaker on politics and public policy.
