A resident of North Minneapolis, Frank Brown graduated with a BS in Business and Accounting from Central Washington University, and an MBA from Seattle University. For nearly 35 years, Frank worked in large printing companies which often didn't treat workers fairly, leading Frank to purchase his own printing business, Minuteman Press, in Uptown, Minneapolis. Frank has the only minority-owned union shop in Minnesota, and the largest black-owned printing company in the region. Frank supports the community by staying active in organizations that fight for racial, social and economic justice. Frank has served on the Board of TakeAction Minnesota and is a leader in Jewish Community Action, Isaiah, Land Stewardship Project and the Main Street Alliance of Minnesota.
