The Rotary Club of Edina is pleased to announce the premiere of a a video by the Steve Rummler Hope Foundation at their meeting Thursday, Aug. 14. The Steve Rummler Hope Foundation will be the featured program at the meeting, and the informative video sheds light on the high rate of prescription drug overdoses. 

The Rotary Club of Edina, along with a matching grant from Rotary District 5950, was a major donor to the foundation to make this video, and Club members can't wait to see the results.

The Rotary Club of Edina meets at 12:15 p.m. at the Edina Country Club. Everyone is welcome. The cost for lunch and the program is $18.

 

 

The Rotary Club of Edina will welcome representatives of the Steve Rummler Hope Foundation to their meeting Thursday, Aug. 14. The program for the meeting will the great work the foundation is doing to shed light on the high rate of addiction and death from prescription drug overdoses in this country. The Club, as well as Rotary District 5950, donated grant money to the foundation to fund the making of a video on this topic. The premiere of the video will be at the meeting Aug. 14.

The mission of the Steve Rummler Hope Foundation is to heighten awareness of the dilemma of chronic pain and the disease of addiction and to improve the associated care process. Their goals are (1) a public that wants action to end the epidemic of addiction and overdose deaths, (2) healthcare professionals who are educated in and practice responsible prescribing, (3) pain patients who receive treatment focused on wellness rather than drugs, and (4) health care that offers easy access to compassionate, evidence-based addiction treatment.
