The meeting is at 12:15 p.m. at the Edina Country Club. Lunch is $18, and all are welcome.

 

The Rotary Club of Edina will welcome Dr. David Bahn, professor of Management Information Systems at Metropolitan State University of Minnesota, as the program speaker at the Club's meeting Thursday, May 1. He will speak about "The MOOCs (R)evolution?: Massive Open Online Courses." 

Bahn has been the chair of the undergraduate program in Management Information Systems in the College of Management of Metropolitan State University and currently leads the college’s curricular initiatives with Enterprise Resource Planning software. A former systems analyst, he received his Ph.D in Information and Decision Sciences from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management and an MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Bahn has also taught online extensively and pioneered new methods for online education as well as having trained other business instructors on how to design E-learning.
