The Rotary Club of Edina recently donated funds to the building of a new Emergency Room Center at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina. And the club was instrumental in organizing other area Rotary clubs to also contribute to the fund. Rotarian Brad Beard, president of Fairview Health Services south region, recently thanked the Club for its donation at a Rotary meeting.

Rotarian Brad Beard, president of Fairview Health Services south region, spoke to the Rotary Club of Edina as part of the meeting program Feb. 5.  He thanked our Club for its role not only in making a substantial contribution to the fund to build a new Emergency Room Center at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, but also encouraging surrounding area Rotary clubs that are impacted by FSH to donate as well.

Brad shared that the area Rotary clubs have already contributed over $50,000. The Edina Rotary Foundation contributed funds over a period of five years. The new ER waiting area will be recognized as a Rotary contribution.

And congratulations several months later to Brad, who was promoted to his current role as president of Fairview Health Services south region in 2014. He previously was president of Fairview Southdale Hospital.
