The Rotary Club of Edina will have their annual lunch and Thanksgiving Baskets Assembly on Wednesday, Nov. 26. Rotarians and their guests will join with members of the Edina Morningside Rotary Club and their guests to pack Thanksgiving baskets for families in need, then deliver the baskets to families in Edina and north and south Minneapolis. Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m., and basket assembly starts at 12:30 p.m., finishing by 1:30 p.m. so the baskets can be delivered.

There is no Rotary Club of Edina meeting on Thursday, Nov. 27, because of the Thanksgiving holiday. The next regular club meeting is Dec. 4.

Bring your family and join your fellow Rotarians, including members of the Edina Morningside Rotary Club, at the annual Thanksgiving Baskets Assembly on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the Edina Country Club. We will gather at 11:45 a.m. for lunch, and then will begin assembling the Thanksgiving baskets for area families in need around 12:30 p.m. Volunteers are needed for the basket assembly, as well as deliveries after the event.

Contact Michael Stanzak if you are interested in delivering the baskets, and who you would like to be paired up with for deliveries. Baskets are delivered to families in Edina, and north and south Minneapolis.

Members are asked to bring a can of sweet potatoes to put in the baskets.

There is no meeting on Thanksgiving, Nov. 27, so this counts as the official Rotary meeting for that week. Rotarians do not have to pay for lunch at the door, unless they are senior active, but guests will be charged the usual rate—$18 for adults, $12 for children.

The next regular Rotary Club of Edina meeting is Dec. 4.
