Periodically we feature new members on our website. This week we meet:

Name: Scott M. Tankenoff

Classification: Commercial Development

What was your first job? Salad bar “specialist” and cashier at Rocky Rococo Pizza in Hopkins, Minnesota

Who was your first role model and why? My father Gary; my father has always demonstrated that you can be successful and great in business and at the same time respectful, caring, and decent towards others. My father believes in making the world a better place, and that has always resonated with me.

Why did you want to join Rotary? To become more involved within the Edina community, as well as to better “stretch myself” by learning new things about new people.

What do you like best about being part of the Rotary Club of Edina? I am enjoying the programs, and especially the speakers. I have left Rotary each time feeling more informed and with better and more focused perspective.

What one piece of advice do you offer other business leaders? Treat others with the level of respect and courtesy that you would want your children, your spouse, and those closest to you to be treated; respectful interaction should always be prioritized.

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Edina, Scott!
