THIS Thursday, May 26, club members will meet in the ECC parking lot and take a coach bus to the Women's Club of Minneapolis and learn about Involve MN and the work they are doing with Minneapolis/St. Paul's unsheltered. We will be touring the Involve MN facility at the Women’s Club to see where they prepare meals and distribute the clothes that we collected for them last fall. Along with the tour, Lt. Snyder is a fabulous cook and he will be preparing a wonderful lunch for us. If you will not be taking the bus, please note "Lunch Only" in the registration "COMMENTS".

Minneapolis police officer Lt. Grant Snyder and his wife Melanie founded Involve MN on the premise that they could do more as a community to help those among us who struggle in homelessness and poverty.

Snyder has worked with not only the homeless, but also the anti human traffic initiative. Drawing from partnerships in law enforcement, social services, business, and government, they work daily to improve the dignity and address the deep need of those that are struggling on our streets. Their belief that this is best done through relationships and at the core of their mission is a deep and abiding desire to meet people where they are and engage them with support, friendship, and mentoring.

This event will be held at the Women's Club of Minneapolis, 410 Oak Grove St., Minneapolis, MN 55403.  We strongly encourage joining your fellow Rotarians on the bus leaving the Edina Country Club at 11:30 a.m., however, if your schedule does not allow you may drive yourself to the Women's Club and park in the lot to the east of the club. If you will not be taking the bus, please note "Lunch Only" in registration "COMMENTS.
