The International Service Committee of the Rotary Club of Edina supports numerous international service projects. Recent grants include contributions to the following organizations:
 
  • Esculinta, Guatemala
    —Through Water Mission International, build large-scale clean water sanitation system
  • Sierra Leone
    —Through One Village Partners, build latrines and handwashing stations at multiple sites. Grant writing is in process for additional matching funds.
  • Uganda
    —Through Water to Thrive, support one well with grant to Eden Prairie Rotary Club.
  • San Felipe, Mexico
    —Through Better Together, provide 174 exams and 139 eye surgeries to blind or near-blind patients in San Felipe, Mexico. Grant approved for Minneapolis University Rotary Club and San Felipe Rotary Club.
  • Santiago de Cuba
    —Small scale water filtration, grant approved for City of Lakes Rotary Club
  • Senegal
    —Through Compatible Technology International, equip local women with 15 grain grinders to quickly produce edible cereal and butters from whole grains. Grant approved for City of Lake Rotary Club.
  • Sasabe, Sonora, Mexico
    —Through Students Connecting through Rotary Service, build elementary school playground at site. Grant approved through Maple Grove Rotary Club.
  • KIVA micro-loan program
    —Loans made in 22 countries.
