Rotary is a non-partisan, nondenominational organization with 1.2 million members in 164 countries. Speakers are asked to respect this diversity and not endorse political candidates, parties, or particular platforms and ideas.

Speakers are asked to be mindful of Rotary’s “Four-Way Test” of the things we think, say and do:

Is it the truth?

Is it fair to all concerned?

Will it build goodwill and better friendships?

Is it beneficial to all concerned?

Speakers are asked to provide a 30-minute presentation, which should include time for questions and answers.

Speakers must grant consent for their presentation to be videotaped for broadcast on Edina Community Channel 16 and the internet.

Although we don’t offer an honorarium, speakers will be thanked at the podium and a donation in their names will be made to Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP), a local organization that for the past 35 years has provided a range of services to help low-income people meet immediate needs and reach their long-term goal of stability. VEAP serves the residents of Bloomington, Edina, Richfield, and south Minneapolis.
