July 8, 2025 — Lisa Walker was inducted as the Rotary Club of Edina’s 71st President at the group’s weekly meeting Thursday, June 26.
 
“I’m deeply honored to serve as The Rotary Club of Edina’s 71st President,” Walker said. “Our club has a proud legacy of service, and I look forward to growing our membership, enhancing our local and global community impact and making Rotary more accessible, relevant and engaging for a new generation of leaders.
 
“As global tensions rise and communities at home face growing division, Rotary’s mission has never been more urgent. Now is the time to lean into what Rotary does best—uniting people of action across borders and beliefs to create lasting change and peace. The 2025-2026 Rotary International theme is “Unite For Good.” Locally, Walker is expected to usher in innovative projects, fundraisers and initiatives that reflect her commitment to inclusivity and community empowerment. The group’s next fundraiser will be the Edina Car Show noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14 at 50th & France.

Walker is the Originating Manager of The Walker Group with CrossCountry Mortgage in Bloomington. She also coaches other mortgage professionals through The CORE Training Company. She holds a doctorate in Organizational Behavior from Washington University in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree from Emory University. She has been a member of the Rotary Club of Edina for nearly 10 years.
 
Rotary International begins its fiscal year July 1. At a year-end meeting June 26, the Rotary Club of Edina’s officers and committee leaders were introduced. Besides Walker, officers include President-Elect Gerry Norton, Treasurer Erica Allenburg, Secretary Catherine Gump and Past-President Paul Peterson. Members of the club’s Board of Directors are Jamal Adam, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; Nikki Ahlgren, Community Service – Projects; Corey Falls, Community Service – Grants; Jennifer Hendrickson, International Service; Chris Laskowski, Public Image; Brent Lundell, Youth Service; Mike Martiny, Club Service – Administration; Bob Scott, The Rotary Foundation; Vinita Steffl, Membership; and Julie Westbrock, Social.
 
Joining the officers to make up the Edina Rotary Foundation Board of Directors are Renee Harberts, Mike Kallas, Martiny, Jeff Ohe, Stefan Smith and Nick Van Beek.
 
The public is welcome and encouraged to attend any weekly meeting of the club. Meetings begin at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the Edina Country Club, 5100 Wooddale Ave. Cost is $27, which is waived the first time for prospective members.
