John Schultz, Superintendent of Edina Public Schools, will be the program speaker at the Thursday, Sept. 14, meeting of the Rotary Club of Edina. He will speak about "My Warm Welcome to Edina." 
 
There will be no regular Rotary Club of Edina meeting Thursday, Sept. 21, due to the Edina Rotary Foundation Fundraiser & Gala "Diamond Jubilee" Saturday, Sept. 23.

John Schultz began as the Superintendent of Edina Public Schools July 2017. He grew up in Minnesota and began his teaching career in 1987. He spent his teaching career at the Hennepin County Home School and Hopkins North Junior High School. Schultz has been an associate principal of Eden Prairie High School and Director of Teaching and Learning for Hopkins Public Schools. He transitioned to Edina after being the Hopkins Public Schools Superintendent for 11 years.
 
Schultz has been a faculty member at the University of Minnesota and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Augsburg College, as well as a Master of Science in Soil, Water and Climate Science and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Minnesota. 
 
The Rotary Club of Edina meets at 12:15 p.m. Thursdays at the Edina Country Club. All are welcome. Cost for the program and lunch is $20 for adults and $12 for children. Cash, check and credit card payment are accepted. A service fee will be charged on credit card payments.
