John Magnuson currently serves as the Executive Director of MARRCH - Minnesota Association of Resources for Recovery and Chemical Health. His presentation is titled "The Pathways to Recovery: Integrating Mental Health, Substance Use Disorder and Well Being." He has decades of experience in the areas of prevention, treatment and recovery. Prior to MARRCH, John worked with The Retreat (a non-clinical, mutual help approach to the problem of alcohol and drug dependency) and served as a consultant to AiR Healthcare Solutions (an integrated behavioral health care management company).  For additional details . . . .
While living in Washington DC, John served as Vice President of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) and the Vice President of Legislative Affairs for the National Home Infusion Association (NHIA). In addition, Magnuson has served as a consultant to the United States Health and Human Services/Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (HHS/SAMHSA), Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, Augsburg College StepUP Program, Association of Recovery Schools (ARS), MADD, the Johnson Institute (JI) and served as a staffer and trusted adviser to United States Representative Jim Ramstad.  John is the Father of two teenage daughters and lives in Minnetonka, Minnesota.
