Former Interact Club of Edina President Elizabeth Anderson talked to members about how Rotary has impacted her life, even after graduating last year from Edina High School and heading to college.
The Rotary Foundation Director for our club, David Clynes, handed out pins to members who were honored for their Paul Harris Fellow donations. And Social Director Renee Harberts shared what her committee has planned for the rest of the Rotary year, as well as recapping the events already enjoyed.

Three guests were present at the meeting: Paul Johnson, son of Doug Johnson; Stacy Condon, guest of Kevin Koepke; and Andrea Humphrey, visiting from the Edina Morningside Rotary Club to accompany her daughter, Elizabeth Anderson.
Terry Moore gave an inspiring St. Patrick's Day Invocation
Elizabeth Anderson, former President of the Interact Club of Edina from 2016–2017, described her year in Germany with the Rotary Youth Exchange program, allowing her to do extensive traveling throughout Europe. But, she “could not escape Rotary wherever she went,” and attended District 1860 Club meetings in Germany. She returns to be an active member of her college Rotaract Club.David Clynes, our club's The Rotary Foundation Director, presented new PHF pins and certificates to many members. Renee Harberts, Social Director for our club, outlined many upcoming social events for Rotarians as well as plans to add new events. In May, the popular Spring Fireside Chats will again be scheduled, with the Rotary Family Picnic in June. The Social Committee hopes to schedule "Women in Rotary” meetings on a quarterly basis.
Ann Platt introduced our two speakers, Nancy Killilea and Lesley Chester. Nancy gave an inspiring talk of how she turned an idea into action on short order. Days before the Super Bowl, Nancy promoted the collection of warm coats from those departing visitors who came to Minneapolis for the game. She initiated Pass Your Parka with the theme “Wherever you are going, it's warmer that here.” Nancy’s drive produced widespread support in gathering warm clothes for the needy. Great job Nancy!
The second speaker was Lesley Chester from the House of Charity, and one of the recipients of Nancy’s warm coats. House of Charity assists the needy in housing, mental assistant, and many daily meals. They provide 350 meals a day to 200 to 300 hungry people, 365 days a year. Lesley encouraged volunteers for this great cause.
