President Josh Sprague opened the meeting with some history and a quiz on the International Rotary Foundation dating back to 1917. The foundation was started by Arch C. Klumph.

Catherine Gump and Ann Platt announced the opportunities to see, hear and interact with Rotary International Stephanie Urchick during her district visit on March 9, 10 and 11th.

Terry Stevens introduced the speaker, Stew Thornley, who has worked with the Minnesota Department Of Health in the area of safe drinking water since 1993. While public water is usually very good there is some variation from city to city. Communities also get their water from different sources. His role is to raise awareness. Two important considerations of drinking water is:
- Infrastructure
- Impact On Economic Development
Mr Thornley also answered several question after his presentation about water safety.
