Thank you for the generous donation of $2,000, received on April 20, 2018. Your gift, designated to Living Well Workbooks, enables us to provide support for families impacted by dementia.

Alzheimer's is the largest public health threat facing the nation. Currently, more than 1,300 people are diagnosed with dementia every day, and we are committed to provide help to them through programs such as our care consultations, 24/7 Helpline (800-272-3900), community and professional education, support groups and early stage programs. No one should have to face this disease alone.

We are grateful for your support, and your belief in our vision of a world without Alzheimer's. Thank you for this incredible gift!

Sincerely,

Susan J. Spalding
Chief Executive Officer
Alzheimer's Association, Minnesota-North Dakota Chapter

I’m writing to express my great thanks and appreciation for the recent grant of $1,500 from the Edina Rotary Foundation to the Edina Community Foundation for its Edina Challenge program. Generous grants like this are very important in helping ECF achieve its mission: Bringing people together to serve, strengthen and celebrate the Edina community.

This grant will be used to support our leadership and participation in Edina Challenge programs aimed at better meeting the needs of the approximately 750 financially challenged youth in our community who qualify for free and reduced price meals. This includes our long-standing scholarship program for Parks & Recreation activities and our new Connect Card program that helps qualifying families easily access available scholarship funds from a variety of Edina programs. This new way to help engage at-risk youth in community life is a great example of how ECF continues to find creative ways to build a better Edina, thanks to the generous support of donors like you.

Thank you!

Thank you so much for Edina Rotary Foundation's contribution of $6,000.00 to the VEAP Food Program. Your generous gift helps VEAP provide access to fresh and healthy foods, social services and resources that support low income individuals and families in our community.

In the last couple of months, VEAP has been preparing for the first Mobile Food Pantry distribution. On Wednesday, March 21, VEAP volunteers and staff loaded up the bus with fresh and healthy foods from our local grocers and partners in preparation for the first distribution at a local housing community. Before the doors even opened, clients were lined up and ready to shop. Over 30 residents visited the Mobile Food Pantry and 460 pounds of fresh foods were distributed. One client in particular expressed her gratitude to
VEAP's Transportation Manager, Sean Trenary.

"I have been sick for over a month and unable to leave my apartment to get fresh or healthy foods, VEAP coming
to Southgate is amazing and so helpful. Thank you so much!"
—VEAP Mobile Food Pantry Client

Our clients consistently report that affordability is the biggest barrier to eating healthy. The VEAP Mobile Food Pantry allows for clients to have more frequent access to the fresh and healthy foods they desire. The Mobile Food Pantry will be distributing foods at Southgate Apartments on a weekly basis and by the end of June will add three other distributions at a variety of sites.

Thank you so much! The new cooler is in the Mobile Food Pantry and working great!

Your partnership helps VEAP to create pathways to stronger, more hopeful communities. Thank you again for your generous support and partnership.

Sincerely,
