Ray Widstrand is part of the MN Brain Injury Alliance Speaker's Bureau, traveling around the state teaching classes at high schools, universities, and to first responders in Crisis Intervention Training - talking about the science of brain injuries and his own experience recovering from a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Ray suffered a TBI in 2013 when he intervened in a gang assaulting a young woman on St. Paul's East Side. In 2016, he received the St. Paul Police Chief's Medal of Valor.
