
The presentation will be emceed by City Manager Scott Neal and is co-sponsored by the Rotary Club of Edina, Rotary Club of Edina Morningside and Edina Chamber of Commerce. The event will start with a friendly trivia competition between the Rotary Clubs and Chamber of Commerce. The formal presentation will focus on current projects of the City and school district and ways the two local governments are focusing on mental health, relationship building and engagement in the community. Among other things, Hovland will discuss Edina’s Alternative Response Team, Public Health’s “Start with Hi!” campaign and work on the City’s Equity Strategic Action Plan.
Cost for the luncheon, which is open to the public, is $35. Doors open and check-in begins at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will begin at noon.
The 2025 State of the City will be recorded and later broadcast on Edina TV and available for streaming online. It will be shown on Edina TV March 6 through April 3 at 7 p.m. Mondays, 3 and 11 a.m. Tuesdays, 9 p.m. Thursdays and 5 a.m. and 1 p.m. Fridays.
