What was your first job? Caddie at Edina Country Club. I quickly realized 13-year-old caddies should not be suggesting club selections to members.
Who was your first role model and why? Mike Joly. Mike never received a formal education, but had a spirit for service and the unique ability to influence others. I watched Mike’s passion organically grow into a large business, and is now seen as an industry leader. Watching Mike’s journey has made a profound impact on how I approach life and business.
Why did you want to join Rotary? To connect with like-minded people, and open myself up to new service opportunities. I enjoy surrounding myself with people who have experienced success because they love what they do, and enjoy helping others along the way.
What do you like best about being part of the Rotary Club of Edina? The energy and laughter.
What one piece of advice do you offer other business leaders? I have found that my worth in the marketplace is measured by the value I add. Through regular self-audit, find your passion and use it to help others.
