On Monday, February 19, more than 130 Rotarians, Rotaract and Interact Club members convened in St. Paul at the Capitol from all corners of the state for the 2024 Rotary Awareness Day. Rotary has a bill, and spoke in favor of, a specialty license plate that would fund our service projects. Participants from Edina Rotary included: Co-Chair Katy Campbell, Rep. Heather Edelson, Sandra Krebsbach, Eli Groenendyk, Catherine Gump. The group met and heard from legislators, and attended a live Senate session where a memorable portion was all stood for a minute of silence after an honoring of the 2 officers and firefighter-paramedic who were killed in Burnsville last Saturday during a domestic violence tragedy.
