July 17, 2025 — The Rotary Club of Edina recently presented four scholarships to deserving students at Edina High School.

The Rotary Club of Edina presents scholarships ranging from $750 to $1,500 to graduating Edina seniors who exemplify the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self” and have participated in Rotary programs such as Camp Enterprise, Camp RYLA, Vocational Ethics Day, youth exchange, Edina Rotary Global Scholars or the Interact Club of Edina. This year’s scholarships were presented to Caitlin Bambery, Anoushka Jha and Maxwell Willmuth. Student details below.
Bambery, an Edina Scholar with Distinction, was part of Edina Rotary Global Scholars and the Interact Club. She founded her own nonprofit card-making organization and was part of the Edina High School dance team, Hornettes, Zephyrus student newspaper, Student Senate and Engagement Board. She was also a State House Legislative Intern and founding leader of the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Youth Advisory Board. She plans to study government and law.

Jha, an Edina Scholar with Distinction, attended Camp RYLA in 2023 and was part of Edina Rotary Global Scholars, for which she served as Fundraising Chair her junior and senior years. She founded the nonprofit Shakti International and was part of the Edina High School concert orchestra, Model United Nations and Science Bowl. She plans to study biology and English.

Willmuth, an Edina Scholar with Distinction, was part of Edina Rotary Global Scholars and the Interact Club of Edina and also attended and served as a counselor at Camp RYLA. He co-founded the Edina High School Drone Club and served as a Hornet Mentor and member of the Career and Technical Education Student Advisory Board at the high school. He plans to study information technology. 

The Rotary Club of Edina also provides a $1,000 renewable scholarship to a graduating senior who is completing the Edina Rotary Global Scholars program. Zoya Hasan received that scholarship. She was involved in Edina Rotary Global Scholars all four years of high school, serving as President her senior year. She also founded the nonprofits Vision for All Minnesota and Kits for Kids Minnesota. At Edina High School, she was part of the tennis team, choir, Model United Nations, Project Earth and South Asian Society. She plans to major in global studies and international relations.

The scholarships for Willmuth and Hasan were presented in May at a local scholarship breakfast organized by the Edina Education Fund. Bambery and Jha received their scholarships at club meetings in July.
