Rotarian John Flynn hosted the Rotary World Ice Bocce Championships last Saturday, Feb. 10, at his home in Deephaven. The event was a Silent Auction item at the 2017 Fundraiser, so all proceeds went to the Edina Rotary Foundation. Participants gathered to hear the ice bocce rules and pick teams, then put on as many layers as possible and headed out to the lake to play some ice bocce! Proper scoring was debatable, but fun was had by all. Until their toes froze. The ice bocce championships were followed by warming up with a delicious four-course meal, prepared and served by John and his co-hosts—Pam Conlow, Edina Morningside Rotary Club member Tom Gump and Catherine Gump.

Thanks to John, his co-hosts, and all the participants for a fun and fundraising evening!
