Jennie Schaefer is a special education teacher and Edina Unified advisor at South View Middle School. From the time she was young Jennie has always been drawn to working with children with disabilities, this interest led to her career choice and passion. She has always wanted to make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities.
Rachel Knaeble is a special education teacher and Edina Unified advisor at South View Middle School. This is her 16th year as a special education teacher and third year teaching in Edina. Rachel was excited to join South View Middle School last year and is passionate about the Unified movement.
Dr. Tami Jo Cook, Assistant Principal at South View Middle School. Dr. Cook is starting her 28th year in education starting as a South View Middle School and Brainerd math teacher, South View Dean of Students, and is in her 4th year as South View Assistant Principal.Jennie Schaefer is a special education teacher and Edina Unified advisor at South View Middle School. She has always wanted to make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities. This is her 10th year at South View. Jennie’s passion area is inclusion and the Unified Movement. In 2013, South View Middle School partnered with Special Olympics Minnesota and became a Unified Champion School that spring. The program has continued to grow and is now recognized both locally and nationally.
South View Middle School holds a special place in Jennie’s heart. She grew up in Edina, MN and attended South View Middle School. She graduated from Edina High School in 2006. Jennie married her high school sweetheart, Josh. They currently reside in Saint Louis Park with their two boys TJ (4.5) and Connor (2.5). When she is not focusing on work, she enjoys spending time outside, working out, traveling, and good food.

Rachel grew up in Shakopee, MN and currently lives in Chanhassen with her husband, 2 boys, Charlie and Gregory, and their Great Dane, Francis! Her husband, Pete, is the Special Operations Chief at Edina Fire and has worked for the Edina Fire Department since 2009. Rachel’s boys are going into 7th and 3rd grades and keep her busy playing hockey, baseball, and lacrosse. Outside of school, she enjoys running, reading, traveling, and spending time on the lake.

She has served in leadership as the Past President of Minnesota Middle School Association (MMSA), MMSA Distinguished Service Award Recipient, AMLE Local Coordinator for Annual National Conference held in Minneapolis, MN, Special Olympics MN Unified Champion Schools Administrative Liaison, Special Olympics North America National Education Leaders Network (Middle School Administrative Representative).
Dr. Cook lives in the Edina community where she has raised my 2 children. The oldest of my children is a Junior at Drake University in Des Moines, IA and my youngest daughter is a Senior at Edina High School this year.
