Sami Reber is in her fourth season as the head coach of the Edina Girls Hockey Varsity Team. During her time as head coach, Sami has accumulated a record of 101-8-2 and has helped her team win back to back to back MN State Hockey Championships all 3 years as head coach; their title in 2017 being the program's first ever. She has been named the Section 6AA Coach of the Year in 2017. American Family Insurance also named Sami the All-USA High School Coach of the Year in 2017. Prior to returning to her Alma Mater of Edina, Sami served as an Assistant Coach for the University of Minnesota Duluth's Women's Hockey Team from 2015-2016.
 
During her playing years, Sami was a four time letter winner at Edina High School in hockey and a three time winner in soccer. A Ms. Hockey finalist as a senior, Sami was a captain for the Hornets and helped lead the team to its first three trips to the MN State Hockey Tournament. After graduating from Edina in 2011, Sami continued her hockey career at Harvard University for four years. Captaining the Crimson to the NCAA National Championship game in 2015, she joined Harvard's 100-point club as she amassed 108 points in 134 games on 26 goals and 82 assists. Sami remains on Harvard's top-10 all-time list for career assists.
 
Sami earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology while at Harvard. She now resides back in Edina working for Frauenshuh Commercial Real Estate while also continuing her dream of coaching her Alma Mater.

On top of three State Championships, during Sami's time at Edina, their team has been named 3- time Lake Conference Champions and Section 6AA Champions, Sami having been named the Section 6AA Coach of the Year in 2017. American Family Insurance also named Sami the All-USA High School Coach of the Year in 2017. Prior to returning to her Alma Mater of Edina, Sami served as an Assistant Coach for the University of Minnesota Duluth's Women's Hockey Team from 2015-2016. While a part of UMD's program, she helped coach the Bulldogs' attack to third in the WCHA in scoring offense. In addition, Sami helped the team sweep their way to the WCHA tournament semifinals for the first time since the 2011-2012 season.
