The Rotary Club of Edina will welcome WCCO-TV Reporter Jennifer Mayerle as the featured speaker at its Jan. 10 meeting. Jennifer Mayerle began her career as an intern at WCCO-TV before leaving Minnesota. The Emmy and Edward R. Murrow award winner joined the WCCO team as a reporter in May 2014. Mayerle, an Edina native, received her bachelor's degree in Communications and Mass Media from the University of San Diego. Prior to her return to WCCCO, Mayerle was an award-winning special projects reporter at CBS46 in Atlanta. While in Atlanta, she also reported for CNN. Before that, she was an anchor and reporter at KWES in Midland, Texas, as well as KWRG in Mobile, Alabama.
The Rotary Club of Edina meets 12:15 p.m. Thursdays at the Edina Country Club, 5100 Wooddale Ave. All are welcome. Cost for the lunch and program is $20 for adults, $12 for kids. Cash and check are accepted at the door.
