Our club needs a volunteer with some basic tech skills to help with the coordination of running a laptop during the in-person meeting, link up with ZOOM attendees to fill duties via the big screen and forward the presentation slides during the meeting. Interested? Please contact Sam Thompson.
The Gala Committee would like to take a moment to thank all our members for the generosity of their time, financial resources and can-do spirit during this year's fundraising efforts. It's been a challenging year and to pivot to smaller gatherings held in member homes wasn't even a concept this spring. It's amazing how well we've embraced this new way of earning money to share and are making it work for us. We're working hard to put the finishing touches on organizing the dinners, the videos, the fun and games and can't wait to hear about all the special moments during each of these dinners. Please let co-chairs Catherine Gump or Bjorn Freudenthal know if you have any questions or comments.
On the 3rd and 4th Wednesday of each month the Rotary Club of Edina Club Board and the Rotary Club of Edina Foundation Board respectively meet as a governing body to discuss and review the aspects of club organization and finances. As we plan to meet live during these very unpredictable times, we need to adhere to guidelines established by the Edina Country Club, the city of Edina and our Governor. Your safety is our number one priority and we understand that not everyone will feel comfortable attending our in-person meetings. With this in mind, we will continue to offer the virtual meetings via Zoom for our July/August meetings and extend them for a longer period of time if needed. Advance reservations will be required for both the live and Zoom meeting options. Click "See More" to review the guidelines.
Click the "You Tube" logo above. In the "Description" are bookmarks/time stamps for jumping to your area of interest.
Due to two different meeting platforms and the excellent talents of C-Vision Productions (Chris Laskowski) it has been decided to make better use of the taped and edited meetings that are posted to You Tube and use them as our new "In Review" format. This will eliminate the duty of "The Barker" note taker/writer and we will, for the time being, no longer publish written reviews. We will continue to publish several live meeting still photos with captions at the end of each newsletter as a mini-recap.
We will post the link to the current meeting You Tube video (see above). Due to some technical difficulty. Still photos from the 9/10/20 meeting are not available. Please see Facebook once they are posted.
