Mark Ritchie is president of Global Minnesota, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization devoted to advancing international understanding and engagement. He served as Minnesota’s Secretary of State from 2007 to 2015. Since leaving elected public service, Mark has led the public-private partnership working to bring the 2027 World Expo to Minnesota. Mark is the appointed Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army, representing Minnesota.

In their Kitchen Connections – Virtual Events, cooking and connecting are a click and a screen away! During the virtual meet-up the chefs from Crocus Hill will do a demonstration, provide insights, answer questions and be there for us while we cook together for a fabulous experience. Everyone will have their cameras and mics on so it’s sure to be a raucous event!

The route will take participants from the Edina Art Center to Rosland Park by the Edina Aquatic Center parking lot and provide an alternative option to door-to-door trick-or-treating. DJ Bob will be at the Rosland Park shelter ready to entertain as participants near the end of the route.

On Wednesday, November 25, members of the Rotary Club of Edina, along with members of the Edina Morningside Rotary Club, prepare and deliver Thanksgiving meals to families in need throughout the Twin Cities region. A roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberries, potatoes and gravy along with vegetables, oranges, even a delicious pie, make their way to area homes via active Rotarians and their families. With a side of warm knit mittens to help with the coming winter, these Thanksgiving Baskets bring some brightness and joy into the holiday season. Look for further details, your invitation to sign up and safety procedures delivered to your email this week. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, basket packing teams will be limited to no more than six people per team and a team captain should be assigned. The Rotaract Club of Edina is sponsoring a light our community service project, "Lighting The Holiday Season" scheduled for Saturday, December 5th. This holiday light hanging service is looking for community member homes wanting to add some holiday light cheer but not climb the ladder. Shelter Box will receive any donations made for our service.
The Edina Rotary Global Scholars Program officially launched this fall at Edina High School. We are searching for internships and volunteer opportunities for students who are working on their Capstone research projects. Please read the seven students short biographies and research interests here.

Due to two different meeting platforms and the excellent talents of C-Vision Productions (Chris Laskowski) it has been decided to make better use of the taped and edited meetings that are posted to You Tube and use them as our new "In Review" format. This will eliminate the duty of "The Barker" note taker/writer and we will, for the time being, no longer publish written reviews. We will continue to publish several live meeting still photos with captions at the end of each newsletter as a mini-recap.

The ballroom doors open at 12:15 p.m. with the meeting beginning at 12:35 p.m. sharp.
