Apr 25 Speaker: Jessica Poole, MN Aurora FC, CEO/President
Jessica Poole has been an industry leader in athletics for over 20 years. She believes that sports can change the world and has enjoyed seeing the opportunities created and lives changed when people have the opportunity to participate in sports. While the bulk of her career has been spent in a college setting, Poole has spent time working in professional tennis and the opportunity with Minnesota Aurora FC provides her an opportunity to return to her first sport of soccer.  Poole is currently the only woman of color running a professional or amateur sports team in the great Minneapolis area. Toshie is a 1982 U of M Minneapolis campus graduate and has been a loan officer for more than 28 years with a variety of mortgage companies. She is currently employed by CMG Financial since 2019. Her areas of expertise are residential mortgage for jumbo, conventional, FHA, USDA and VA loans. She also works with the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency helping her clientele understand it unique down payment assistant funds program. Toshie's main focus is in the first-time home buyer market due to the fact most of realtors she works with are Asian who understand the specific needs and buying culture of their clients.  REGISTER HERE or use QR Code.
Spring Fireside Chats Begin May 14
The Rotary Club of Edina Spring Fireside Chat schedule will begin Tuesday, May 14.  Club member hosted these small and casual social gatherings give experienced and freshman Rotarians the opportunity to get to know each other and learn about Rotary. Usually held in the host member's home as a come and go timed gathering, it's a nice way to conversationally and personally connect with your fellow Rotary friends. You're invited to attend all the scheduled chats or pick one that works best with your schedule. To allow the host to prepare, please register for each gathering you plan to attend. Please let Kayla Beehler know if you any questions or would like to be added to the Spring or Fall Fireside host schedule.

MAY 15 NEEDS THREE PEOPLE Sign up today to help Volunteers Enlisted to Assist People (VEAP) serve the hungry in our community! Volunteers welcome participants to the VEAP pantry, explain the process and respond to participant questions, keep the shopping area clean and tidy, sort through food donations, stock shelves, load groceries into vehicles and overall help VEAP promote a positive shopping experience for participants. VEAP staff explain the process before every volunteer shift in the pantry. You can sign up HERE
