Shvonne L. Johnson is a Poet, Author, University Instructor at Metropolitan State University, She served as a former Dean at St. Catherine University, Speaker, and Activist. She teaches on race, education, and society.  Shvonne is the Author of Release: A Journey of My Soul, A Collection of Original Poetry that explores an array of social, personal, and historical challenges. Johnson attended Howard University in Washington DC, after receiving the Bush Leadership Fellowship in 2009, to study historical racism and oppression and how that directly affects achievement gaps in the state of Minnesota. Shvonne served in Roseville Area School District as an African American Cultural Liaison specifically supporting African American students and families. Shvonne actively utilizes her poetry and academic study to reach deep into the roots of our ancestry, our consciousness, to touch the most tender part of us. It is her deepest hope that through every gift that God has given her she is able to offer strength, comfort, and hope in a season of challenge, strife, and fear.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD & BRING YOUR FRIENDS!  This will be promoted within Rotary and within the Black Business Community, and our goal is to grow this over time. But we need your help to promote this cultural residency and cross-culture business network!
