March 2023 Event - Thursday,  March 16, 5:30-7pm. In partnership with Tomme Beevas and Pimentos Jamaican Kitchen, Black Business Networking will encourage us to continue to expand the efforts of our club's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. The 2023 networking event will be held Thursdays Mar 16, May 18 from 5:30-7pm at Pimento Jamaican Kitchen, 2524 Nicollet Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55404. This week's featured business leader is Abel Ebane, Chairman of the Minneapolis Black Chamber of Commerce. Meeting details are:

5:30-6:00 Social & networking time — the rum punch will be flowing! 
6:00-6:15 Introductions around the room, including each attendee's business background
6:15-6:45 Featured Black Entrepreneur presents their business story to the group
6:45-7:00 Q &A session and wrap up

Jayanthi Rajasa is multidisciplinary artist, teaching artist, and songstress dedicated to singing from the heart. Jaya collects songs that speak to her struggle, empowerment and ability to be, change, and move forward while honoring the unremembered changers and movers of the past. Jaya is born of an East Indian Man and a Afro-Indigenous Woman. She loves the Theater! She loves being a teaching artist to every age and ability. Jaya is often holding song or poetry circles. She loves healing and so she continues to work with the Million Artist Movement to dismantle racism and injustice towards people of color and dream collectively to produce actions for change and Black Liberation. She has been in more than 10 performing and recording bands in The Twin Cities. She also works with Mama Mosaic on a "Minnesota Girls Are Not For Sale" piece that has been performed for over 9 years seeking freedom for women and girl sex slaves in Minnesota. Jaya currently runs a program for infants and young children entitled “Homies in Harmony at Walker West Music Academy.”
