Following guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) to help slow the spread of COVID-19 and in accordance with Gov. Tim Walz’s Executive Order 20-99 the Rotary Club of Edina will stop holding in-person meetings beginning immediately and for the remainder of 2020. The December 3rd and December 10^th meetings will be conducted via ZOOM only and the December 17^th Holiday ZOOM Party is still scheduled to take place. Our speaker for the December 3rd meeting will be Minneapolis Police Drector of Public Information, John Elder. Elder's background is in law enforcement and broadcast journalism. He was a New Hope City Council member and has 21 years of law enforcement experience. He spent two years as the manager of intellectual properties and has been the Public Information Office for the MPD since late 2013. In late 2018, he was promoted to Director of communication for the Minneapolis Police Department.
