June 3 IN-PERSON Speaker: Deputy Chief Jeff Elasky

Jeff Elasky joined the Edina Police Department as a reserve officer in 1986 and worked his way up through the department ranks for the past two decades. After serving as a reserve officer, he became a community service officer before working as an animal control officer. He served as a patrol officer, working as a school resource officer and DARE officer, as a member of the SWAT team and a hostage negotiator, before being promoted to sergeant and then lieutenant. Title of his talk:  An Update on Policing and Safety in Edina.

Following the State guidelines, the Edina Country Club along with the City of Edina will not mandate the wearing of face masks, effective Friday, May 14. This includes all City-owned facilities, including Parks and Recreation facilities and Edina Liquor stores. Personal considerations and businesses within the city may set their own policies regarding mask wear and enforcement.
