Please convey our sincere gratitude for the generous International Service grant to assist in our human trafficking prevention work throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. Jon Barnett will work with us as we invest those funds to print and distribute materials empowering 2- to 8-year-old children to protect themselves from sexual predators. 

Before we address small children though, our teams engage parents in learning about the bridge between commercial sexual exploitation and child sexual abuse. This session is called a "Parents' School." Often this is the first time these adults have heard that 1) it is never the child's fault; 2) abuse is a crime, and 3) adults are responsible for preventing it. 

 

We have yet to present a "Parents' School" where someone doesn't approach our table and tell one of our volunteers, "I was sexually abused as a child and I've never told anyone." It is our privilege to connect them with our network of support and walk them toward health.
