We hope you are all doing well as we hit mid-winter and look forward to longer and warmer days to say “thank you” for your grant to Birth with Dignity seems almost inadequate to capture our full gratitude for your support and financial help regarding our work in Uganda.

Because of your grant we are bringing the nursing leaders in 14 regions of Uganda together for an all-day conference regarding mothers dying in childbirth and care of the grieving family after stillbirth. This will be an all-day conference given by us with your financial backing to get all the leaders there for the day, RSVPs have been coming in and the leaders are voicing their excitement about coming.

Thank you in advance for helping save mothers and changing bereavement practices by nurses in Uganda. We know by experience at one major hospital that our teaching has lowered their maternal death rate and improved bereavement care significantly. We are confident that this conference with key leaders will have a great impact as we plan to follow up after the conference with all the hospitals represented.
