In 2019, James was recognized as a community leader by Mayor James Hovland for his outstanding leadership as Co-Chair of the Edina Race and Equity Task Force. He has been and is currently serving as a board members on Metropolitan Economic Development Association and Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS). Stephanie serves on the board of Edina Give and Go and is a member of the COVID-19 Relief Committee. Both are deeply involved with the Junior Diabetes Research Fund Organization.
