Our speaker on February 26, 2026 will be, Tony Margarit, a finance leader in the crypto & blockchain industry with 15+ years of experience working with start-ups and high-growth companies. He is extremely passionate about the blockchain & crypto industry, and he strongly believes in the benefits of decentralization, permissionless transacatons, and true ownership of assets. He was previously the Head of Finance for a leading blockchain & NFT ticketing platform and is currently an advisor for an up & coming web3 mobile game. He’s been heavily involved in crypto & web3 ecosystems since 2015 as an investor, advisor, and finance leader.

A successful sunny day at the Capitol on Feb. 23 drew 80 Rotarians and international Northstar Youth Exchange students from some 20 different countries. Among them were 7 Rotarians and a spouse from Edina Noon club.
The theme was Rotary’s Four-Way Test of “The things we think, say and do.”
A moderated panel of a cross-section of Republican and Democrat lawmakers along with a representative of the non-partisan Citizens League each shared stories of working across parties on specific legislation, how they navigate interacting and social media with voters with opposing views.
Special experiences included: Guided history tours of the State Capitol, Supreme Court and Governor’s office along with a live Senate Session. Meeting several officials along the way.
Four of our Rotary students were invited to be introduced and answer questions at a live Education Committee hearing.
At the February 26th Rotary Club of Edina meeting, TRF Director Bob Scott honored one of our club Past Presidents and District Governors. Sandy Schley was recognized for her generous donations to The Rotary Foundation, and achieving Major Donor Level 2 status! That means Sandy has given $25,000 to The Rotary Foundation. Let’s all congratulate Sandy!
The Rotary Club of Edina’s Membership Committee and Board of Directors welcome Ben Pohlman as a member of the Rotary Club of Edina. Ben is a business development director at All In One Accounting located in Eagan. He was previously a member of the Lions Club and while growing up participated in numerous mission trips. He is looking to expand his community engagement and sharr meaningful connections through local and international volunteer projects. Ben lives in Edina with his wife, Ellie and young son.
