The Fourth Object of Rotary is: "The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional people united in the ideal of service."  Both our club and Rotary International support a wide array of international projects, grants, and programs.

International Projects are made possible through seed funding from the Edina Rotary Foundation (ERF), with matching funds and support from The Rotary Foundation (TRF), both supported through member contributions. The Rotary Foundation supports programs such as Peace Fellowships, Global Scholarships, New Generation Exchanges, Youth Exchange, and our signature cause, Polio Eradication.

In 2019, the Rotary Club of Edina completed a $400,000 global grant water project in Escuintla, Guatemala, in partnership with other Rotary Clubs from around the country and world. and Water Missions International.  This global grant funded the construction of a state-of-the-art water system, including a 40,000 water tower and a separate cholorination facility, serving a town of over 4,000 people. In 2019, club members traveled to Coban, Guatemala and delivered 659 water filtration units to remote villages in the mountains surrounding Coban, in partnership with area Rotary clubs and St. Patrick's Church.  This project brought fresh water to thousands of local people!
