We are doing a winter clothing drive in conjunction with the Edina Country Club with the final drop off at Noon, Thursday, November 20. At your convenience, bring your gently used or new coats, sweaters, sweatshirts, gloves/mittens, winter hats and blankets to ECC anytime. These items will be donated to Involve MN who feeds over 5,000 meals each week to the local area unsheltered using a special van to visit encampments and other areas where they gather. Involve MN is a Minnesota based non-profit collaborating with community, business and government to provide for the unsheltered and vulnerable people in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area. Your friends and family are welcome to participate.

Questions? Please reach out to Ann Platt at  952-292-6043 / 952-837-1877 or Jack Kennefick or 612-220-4972.  Thank you in advance for your participation.

Wednesday, November 26, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm members of the Rotary Club of Edina and Edina Morningside Rotary Club, will prepare and deliver Thanksgiving meals to 80 local families in need. A roasted turkey, stuffing, cranberries, potatoes and gravy along with vegetables, oranges, even a delicious pie, make their way to area homes via active Rotarians and their families. With a side of warm knit mittens to help with the coming winter, these Thanksgiving Baskets bring some brightness and joy into the holiday season. Assembly and delivery times should be booked as a TEAM. Example: Rotarian Member Ed and Rotarian Member Opal want to deliver baskets together. Ed signs up for Shift One as the team lead and coordinates with Opal on when to be at the club to assembly and deliver up to 3 baskets. If you don't have a team and want to be assigned to one, drop an email to Tom Cook or Becci Michalski.

The Rotary Club of Edina will once again be collecting holiday gifts for local community families and youth in need.  During these challenging times, there is a special urgency for help and support.  Rotarians Jean Morrison and David Clynes are organizing the Holiday Giving Program with donations going to 66 West, Good in the Hood, and the Young Parent Program this holiday season. Gift suggestions below. Dec. 11 meeting will feature some Faribault Mill items to be auctioned during the meeting. Program details and gift suggestions will follow in the next few weeks.
On Sept. 15, MnDOT will close all of the remaining Minnesota Highway 100 off ramps and all but one on ramp at West 50th Street/Vernon Avenue as part of the bridge and interchange project. They are expected to be closed until mid-November. This will have significant impacts to the Grandview and 50th & France areas, with our meeting location at the Edina Country Club smack dab in the middle! Click HERE for detailed detour information. Private helicopter parking may be available to the highest bidder (it is fundraising season) at the south end of ECC parking lot :).
